Royal mistake

Out of favor with the Queen

Robert Mugabe was a knight.

Let that sink in a minute.

At some point in time, the Queen of England decided this murdering, racist barbarian was worthy of knighthood.
Mugabe was made an honorary knight in 1994, when he was considered an anti-colonial hero. Honorary knighthoods are conferred on people who are not British citizens but are recommended by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and approved by the queen.
And it took this long to figure him out?

Nor is this the first time her Majesty was a wee bit premature with ye olde empty symbolism.
The late Romanian leader Nicolae Ceausescu was stripped of his title in 1989 at the height of the Balkan nation's revolution.
Anyone doubting that political correctness kills need look no further than this embarrassing episode in the history of white guilt... Until Barack Obama is crowned king here in America later this year.
